How to make your lipstick not rub off on your teeth?

For cheerleading competitions we wear bright red lipstick and it always gets on my teeth turning them red..how do i make that NOT happen? How to make your lipstick not rub off on your teeth?
sick your finger in your mouth after you applied the lipstick make a sucking lip shape and pull your finger out.

just don't let the boys watch they'll get the wrong idea. also paper between the lips and pull out works OK too.

the way this is supposed to work is to remove the lipstick from the area closest to your teeth thereby preventing it from touching your teeth.

I have tried a lip color sealant (bonnie bell, and Revlon make some) it works fantastically, but dries my lips really badHow to make your lipstick not rub off on your teeth?
you can use lipstick lacquer or to be safe, just use matte lipstick for it is water proof.
The easiest way with regular lipstick:

1) Blot well with a tissue.

2) Put a finger in your mouth and wipe the lipstick off the inside edges of your lips.

(See the BellaSugar link below for more information.)

Instead, you might try one of the newest long-stay lipsticks, like L'Oreal Infallible in Crimson or Grenadine. Follow the instructions and it won't come off on your teeth, uniform or anything else. The case is even mirrored so you can check %26amp; make sure!
