What would make you buy a lipstick?

I am starting a new job tomorrow where I need to sell people lipsticks and I am so nervous! I would really like some advice from anybody on how they would like to be approached in store and what would make them want to buy a lipstick that I told them about - the products are really nice but I am not sure how to sell them, and how much is too much in terms of pushiness? thank you!!What would make you buy a lipstick?
Many people don't like being approached - I was a cosmetic girl for years so I know!


Try to look for people who seem eager and interested, try to spot their body language before approaching.


Make it fun, find some small white cards and 'kiss' the cards with different shades of lipstick which you can hand to the customer whilst telling them they would look great wearing that shade! Think of other fun things to do.


Above all keep smiling and never 'push' a customer - just be yourself, and enjoy the challenge.What would make you buy a lipstick?
in terms of pushiness, only ask the person once and if they say no then leave them alone. i cant tell you how annoying it is when i tell someone no and they keep persisting. also, i would try and study up on which lipstick colors go well with which skintones. tell the customers that you have a lipstick that would go perfectly with their skintone. that should get them interested!

sell them in cheap prices....also design ur store in a nice manner to attract ppl :)
